Cracking WEP and WPA Encryption
The Docupedia have an article on their wiki on cracking WEP and WPA WiFi networks. Ive always thought that WiFi networks would never be as secure, and this proves it. About August last year, we moved house, and when i'd gotten settled, and my computer set up i noticed a WiFi access point nearby. Me being the curious hacker type, I decided i'd try and break in to get some free internet access. The otherday however, I found out that the network belongs to my techie next door neighbour, so Im glad that I didn't stumble upon this guide before I found out who the network belonged to.

First Notebook With No Hardrive, Replaced With Flash Memory
If you thought that flash drives were useful, imagine a computer with no hard drive, but a hugeflash drive to store your data on, boot your OS from, and everything else your harddrive does. In other words, a flash memory "harddrive". Well, Samsung are planning on doing just that. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1966644,00.asp?kc=ETRSS02129TX1K0000532
Unfortunatly, Samsung only plan to sell the units mentioned in that article in Korea, shame, but oh well.
What is a DMZ?
If you run a netowrk, or you have a bigish home network that you run servers from, then you've probably head about DMZs, but do you know what they are? This article explains what one is, and what they can do from a security point of view. My friend is going to be setting up a hardware firewall and is considering putting in a DMZ as well, and he's asked for my help, so this article will be quite useful for me. http://www.computernetworkinghelp.com/content/view/44/1/
